2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

Authentication credentials (managed securely through Supabase Auth)
Company name (if provided)

Google Workspace Data: If you choose to sign in via Google OAuth, we receive your email address and basic profile information (name and profile picture). We use this data solely to create your account and authenticate your identity. We do not access your Google Drive, Calendar, or other private data unless explicitly requested and authorized by you.

2.2 Job Posting Data

When employers create job postings, we collect:

Job title, description, and requirements
Required qualifications and nice-to-have preferences
Uploaded or pasted job posting content

2.3 Resume & Applicant Data

When resumes are uploaded (by employers or individuals using our free resume review), we collect:

Resume file contents (PDF and Word documents)
Parsed resume data including work experience, education, skills, and contact information
AI-generated scores and feedback

2.4 Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or full payment details on our servers. We receive transaction identifiers, billing amounts, and payment status from Stripe.

2.5 Usage & Analytics Data

We automatically collect:

Browser type, operating system, and device information
IP address and approximate location
Pages visited, features used, and interaction patterns
Referral source and session duration

We use Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to understand usage trends. These services may set cookies on your browser.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide, maintain, and improve the ClearMatch ATS platform
Parse resumes and generate AI-powered applicant scores and rankings
Process payments and manage job posting credits
Send transactional emails (e.g., account confirmation, purchase receipts)

Analyze usage patterns to improve our product
Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents

4. AI & Automated Processing

ClearMatch ATS uses Google's Gemini AI to parse resumes, extract structured data, and score applicant qualifications against job requirements. Resume content is sent to Google's API for processing and is subject to Google's Gemini API Terms of Service.

AI-generated scores are advisory. We do not make hiring decisions; employers retain full control over their hiring process.

5. Google API Limited Use Disclosure

ClearMatch ATS's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

Service Providers: Supabase (database & authentication), Stripe (payments), Google Gemini (AI processing), Vercel (hosting), Postmark (email), and Google Analytics (analytics).
Legal Compliance: When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ClearMatch, our users, or others.
Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Job posting data, resumes, and applicant scores are retained until the employer deletes them or the account is closed. Free resume review data is retained until the user deletes their resume or account.

You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing support@clearmatchats.com. Upon receiving a verified deletion request, we will remove your personal data from our active systems within 30 days. Residual copies in encrypted backups will be purged within 90 days.

When you delete your account, all associated data — including uploaded resumes, parsed applicant data, AI-generated scores, and job posting content — will be permanently deleted.

8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL), secure authentication through Supabase, and row-level security policies on our database. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

Essential Cookies: Required for authentication and core functionality.
Analytics Cookies: Used by Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to understand usage patterns.
